Last April,Kingdom Hearts 3director Tetsuya Nomura revealed in a concert featuring the game’s soundtrack thata DLC forKingdom Hearts 3is in the works, called Re Mind. Nomura said that the expansion will be a paid one, and it will include a new scenario.

Keeping its promise thata new Re Mind trailer will release today, Square Enix just dropped a new preview trailer forKingdom Hearts 3’s upcoming expansion. While the base game was supposed to conclude the Dark Seeker saga, the trailer confirmed that there is still a chapter left to be told. The footage highlighted an epic battle, showing Sora wielding the iconic Oathkeeper Keyblade, which did not make an appearance inKingdom Hearts 3.

Additionally, Sora is seen transforming into a new battle form in the newKingdom Hearts 3DLC, which is unique to the Oathkeeper Keyblade. The trailer also offered a glimpse into a new boss fight as it showed Sora fighting with Xigbar in a new location. The latest trailer also showed Sora in conversation with Namine, which fans would know is the Nobody of Kairi.

As revealed in an older Re Mind trailer,Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mindwill allow players to fight as Aqua, Roxas, and Riku, who are seen briefly in this latest trailer as well. However, the trailer also showed Terra about to battle Lingering Will, though it is unclear whether this battle will be just a cutscene or if the player will have to be in control to see the fight through.

Unfortunately, theKingdom Hearts 3Re Mind Tokyo Game Show trailer did not provide an exact release date, given that the end of the preview just mentioned the release window of Winter 2019. However, given that the Tokyo Game Show is only a week away, it is likely that Square Enix would be revealing more info aboutKingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind, and hopefully, a release date.

Kingdom Hearts 3is available now on PS4 and Xbox One, with the Re Mind DLC set to release in Winter 2019.
