Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for Dexter: Resurrection season 1, episode 5.Krysten Ritter’s Mia Lapierre, better known as Lady Vengeance inDexter: Resurrection, feels a lot like a classicDextervillain from season 2. Mia is one of Leon Prater’s (Peter Dinklage)new serial killers inDexter: Resurrection, and Dexter (Michael C. Hall) quickly took a liking to her.Resurrectionepisode 5proved that their relationship wouldn’t develop much, though.
In a single episode, Mia went from Dexter’s newest love interest to a sacrifice to get the NYPD off Harrison’s (Jack Alcott) trail. While she’s certainly notResurrection’s replacement for Hannah McKay (Yvonne Strahovski),Resurrectionepisode 5 did make Mia much more similar to one of thebest villains inDexter.

Dexter: Resurrection’s Mia Is Very Reminiscent Of Season 2’s Lila
Both Lila & Mia Are Murderous Women With No Moral Code Who Dexter Is Infatuated With
As soon as Mia revealed that she wasn’t really “Lady Vengeance” and that she had no moral code to her killings, she immediately became like Lila. Both Mia and Lila are homicidal women whom Dexter forms an immediate romantic bond with. Dexter also knew both of them were dangerous yet went ahead with the relationship anyway, and he ended up having to take them both out, though in different ways.
Mia and Lila also both offer the same thematic importance to their respective shows.Lila and Mia both represent Dexter without the Code of Harry and without any morals. They kill whoever they want whenever they want, and though Dexter initially thinks he can be himself with them, they’re actually encouraging him to be worse and drawing his attention away from his family.

Dexter Eventually Killed Lila, But Will He Kill Mia In Resurrection?
Charley Is Probably Going To Kill Mia Before Dexter Has To Intervene
As previously mentioned, Dexter ended up dealing with Mia and Lila in very different ways. After some difficulties, Dexter tracked Lila down in Paris and stabbed her in the heart. With Mia, on the other hand, Dexter turned her into the NYPD and planted Ryan Foster’s watch to frame her for his murder. It was a rare moment of mercy for Dexter, and it set up a new mystery.
While Mia can’t identify Dexter - she still thinks he’s Ronald Schmidt - she can ruin Dexter’s frame job and claim she never killed Ryan Murphy.
As ofResurrectionepisode 4, Mia is in jail and Claudette Wallace (Kadia Saraf) is waiting to interview her. While Mia can’t identify Dexter - she still thinks he’s Ronald Schmidt - she can ruin Dexter’s frame job and claim she never killed Ryan Murphy. That setup begs the question: will Dexter end up killing Mia like he killed Lila?

The short answer is that Dexter probably won’t kill Mia.She’s already in prison, and Dexter probably believes that Leon Prater is going to send Charley (Uma Thurman) to kill Mia for him. We’ve already seen Charley execute one serial killer who stepped out of line; she’d almost certainly do the same to ensure Mia doesn’t tell the police about Prater’s dinner parties inDexter: Resurrection.
