Huda Mustafa Isn’t Treating The Other Women Well
She’s Been Thinking About Herself Too Much
Huda Mustafa’s hypocrisy has been a dark cloud overLove Island USAseason 7. Aftershe coupled up with Jeremiah Brownon day one,she expected the rest of the cast to leave him alone, even during challenges. This mindset even extended to bombshells new to the villa, even though they didn’t know anything about Huda’s relationship.
AfterAmerica’s in-app vote sent Iris Kendall and Jeremiah on a date, Huda had a meltdown in the villa. Talking with Iris after the date didn’t calm Huda down. In fact, the conversation made Huda inexplicably hate Iris, later saying:
“Iris moved so weird to me. She hides everything from the damn get-go. She’s over here, ‘I’m a girl’s girl,’ no the f*ck you’re not.”
However, once Huda moved on from Jeremiah, she had no problem making moves on the other men, regardless of their relationship statuses.Huda pulled Pepe Garcia for a chatin front of Hannah Fields, even though Huda knew Hannah and Pepe had a strong connection. Plus,Huda claimed to be Hannah’s friend.
According to Noa Bruser, when she was quoted byGlamour,“A girl’s girl doesn’t see other women as competition and wants to see other women succeed.”If Huda was a true girl’s girl, she wouldn’t expect loyalty that she wasn’t giving.Huda has caused a lot of drama in the villa, and it may be affecting other people’s ability to make a connection.
Chelley Isn’t Forgiving Huda
Why Is She Siding With A Man?
The otherLove Island USAseason 7 women aren’t a whole lot better at having female friendships than Huda. Chelley thought Huda took the challenge too far, but Huda thought it was all in good fun.
In some ways, Chelley was right to be mad.
Huda had expected all the women to leave Jeremiah alone, even during challenges, so it was weird that Huda wouldn’t extend the same expectation to her friends. However, Huda was right. It was just a challenge.Chelley’s anger towards Huda showed she cared more about a man than her friends.
Do The Love Island USA Women Need To Be Friends?
Emotional Support Is Important
Love Island USAneeds more girl’s girls. The drama of the show should come from the relationships, and the women shouldn’t view each other as enemies.Even if they’re interested in the same man, there are ways to navigate that with grace instead of arguments.
IfLove Island USAseason 7 had more girl’s girls, the women would have a better emotional support system in the villa. They would have an easier time confiding in each other, instead of being worried that anything they say will come back to bite them. Even on a show about dating, friendships make a huge difference.
Love Island USAseason 7 streams every night (except Wednesdays) at 9 p.m. EDT on Peacock.
