Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for Stick season 1, episode 6.Mitts (Marc Maron) was completely right about Zero (Lilli Kay) inStickseason 1, and now Pryce (Owen Wilson) has to deal with the brutal fallout of his mistakes. Zero has been a divisive character in thecast ofSticksince they were introduced. Many fans have noted that they don’t appreciate the wayStickis using Zero to make Generation X and Generation Z clash on-screen. Even though they’re divisive, Zero has been a net positive forStick: they’ve gotten Santi more focused on his game, they had a few nice moments with Elena (Mariana Treviño), and they’ve even opened up about themselves.
That is, untilStickseason 1, episode 6. Up to now, Zero has been working as Santi’s caddie and secretly feeding him coaching tips that Pryce has supplied. Santi said he wouldn’t listen to Pryce because he was too similar to his manipulative father, but he would listen to Zero, so Pryce basically used them as a mouthpiece for his golf tips. It worked tremendously well for a time - Santi won several tournaments and even started a romantic relationship with Zero - but it all came crumbling down just as Mitts predicted.

Mitts Was Right That Hiring Zero Would Cause Major Trouble For Santi & Pryce
Mitts Knew That Trying To “Hustle” Santi With Zero Would Turn Out Badly & He Was Right
Back inStickepisode 4, Mitts predicted thatPryce and Zero’s plan to fool Santiwould backfire in tremendous fashion. He even called Pryce a “happy f***ing idiot” and said that there were so many problems with the plan, such as the fact that Zero and Santi were clearly attracted to each other and their relationship could only cause problems. As it turns out,Mitts was absolutely right about Pryce and Zero’s plan to hustle Santi and about how Santi and Zero’s romantic relationship would only make things worse.
After finding Pryce’s Ryder’s Cup ring in Zero’s bag, Santi confronted both of them separately. They both gave differing stories, he sussed out the truth, and everything went downhill from there.Just as Mitts predicted, Pryce and Zero’s plan completely backfired inStickepisode 6. Santi found out that Pryce essentially bribed Zero to caddie for him, and the emotions of losing his virginity to them made the whole situation even worse. He threw a tantrum, ended his relationship with Zero, and told Pryce that he never wants to see him again. It was the worst - albeit incredibly likely - possible outcome of the situation.

Stick’s Zero Fallout Is Going To Make Santi & Pryce’s Golf Struggles Even Worse
Zero’s Revelation Dissolved Any Trust Santi & Pryce Were Building - Now He Won’t Listen To Him At All
The falling out between Pryce, Zero, and Santi inStickepisode 6 isn’t even the end of the troubles for them. Now that Santi knows that Pryce manipulated him with Zero’s help, there’s no chance he’s going to trust or listen to Pryce. They were already on thin ice with one another, as Pryce had to use Zero to get Santi to listen at all, and now all the trust they built up evaporated in a single episode. Without Pryce’s advice (or Pryce’s advice channeled through Zero), Santi could start doing very poorly in his golf tournaments.
Zero also seemingly left after Santi yelled at them, which is yet another bad sign forStickseason 1. Divisive though they were, Zero was keeping the entire group together. They kept Santi’s head in the game and helped Pryce coach him.If Zero really is gone, Santi will also probably feel guilty about driving them away. Zero just told him how they leave when they don’t feel safe, and there’s a good chance Santi will regret calling them “nothing.” This is a real low point forStickseason 1.
Mitts Was Right About Zero & Santi, But Now He Has His Own Romance Problem
Mitts' Kiss With Elena Should Make Things Awkward, But They’re Both Mature Enough To Move On Even If Things Don’t Work Out
To make matters worse, Pryce, Santi, and Zero aren’t the only ones having relationship issues inStick.Mitts also tried to kiss Elena inStickepisode 6, which should be its can of worms. Things immediately got awkward after Mitts kissed Elena, with Mitts even swimming away from her in humiliation. Luckily, however,Mitts and Elena’s relationshipis probably in a better place. Even if Elena doesn’t have feelings for Mitts, they’re both adults and can work things out. There’s also still a chance that their romance will work out anyway, even ifStickis awkward for a time.
