The Ignite 2025 Tournament is an official competition held byMarvel Rivals, allowing teams to register for qualifier matches to face each other in the hopes of collecting a prize. If you feel like you have the skills to win, you can join the tournament through a PC platform. However, the process for getting into the tournament has some restrictions you need to be mindful of before applying to participate.
Over $3,000,000 is being offered through the Ignite 2025 Tournament, creating one of the largest competitive prize pools seen for the game so far. This should encourage some of the top talents fromMarvel Rivals' Competitive modeto participate, but any team Grandmaster 3 rank or higher can participate. As long as you are within a qualifying region, you have the ability to compete.
What Is The Marvel Rivals Ignite Tournament?
One Of The Largest Competitions For The Game Yet
TheIgnite Tournament is a long-formMarvel Rivalscompetition series that takes place twice over the course of 2025. Two instances of the tournament will take place throughout the year, with one in the Summer 2025 timeframe and another in Fall 2025 starting with registrations in August 2025. During both tournament series, teams of players can participate in open qualifiers to advance through the competition if they win.
Once registration for an Ignite Tournament begins, teams from select regions can apply to join various Open Qualifiers.There are two Splits of Open Qualifiersteams can register for, giving groups multiple periods of competition depending on their schedules. During matches, similar rules to Competitive mode are applied, includingcharacter bans inMarvel Rivals.
Top teams from the Marvel Rivals Invitational 2025 (MRI 2025) and Marvel Rivals Championship Season 1 (MRC S1) Tournaments receive direct invitations to the Ignite 2025 Tournament, filling up some slots in the Open Qualifiers.
Starting in May 2025, teams that get into either Split of the Open Qualifiers will have a chance to compete for Slots in the Ignite Tournament.The top half of those who secure Slots will advance to Regional Playoffs, while the bottom half will be eliminated. Getting through Regional Playoffs will help narrow down which teams get into the Finals in July 2025, with prizes being offered for anyone who makes it to that point.

Registration for the Ignite 2025 Tournament follows a strict schedule, withtwo windows of registration for both Splits of Open Qualifiers. The table below outlines the start and end dates for each Split of Qualifiers during Stage 1 of the Tournament:

TheSplit 2 Open Qualifiers have a much smaller window to registercompared to the first Split, with each part of the competition having matches between registration times. For example, the Open Qualifiers for the Split 1 group happen from June 08, 2025, until May 25, closing out Tournament Slots for that section before the next Split starts.
Competition for both Qualitier Splits last until June 23, 2025. Afterwards,the teams that won the most will participate in the Regional Finals through Phase 2 of the Tournament, which takes place in July 2025. Withfuture Seasons inMarvel Rivalstaking place during that time, it is unclear if this process might change alongside future updates.
How To Register For The Stage 1 Open Tournament Qualifiers
When you log intoMarvel Rivals, you can go to the"Tournament"tab of the main menu to start registering for an Ignite 2025 Open Qualifier. Once you are on the tab, you’ll see different links to register for the tournament based on your region.There are five available regions for the Ignite 2025 Tournament, including these areas:
The Ignite 2025 Tournament is only in place for PC players ofMarvel Rivals, with only players of rank Grandmaster 3 and above being allowed to qualify.
With a registered faction, your team can submit an application to start competing at a high level.Factions accumulate points from playing in 10 separate matches to move through Open Qualifiersinto the next stage of competition. Every match follows the rules andTournament Guidelinescreated byMarvel Rivals' organizers, so verify your Faction knows what it can and can’t do.
You’ll be able to spectate your Faction’s matches and check their Ranking compared to other groups as the tournament continues.Tournament details, including the Advancement Rules, Schedule, and Next Match queue time, will all be viewableon the"Tournament"tab after you successfully register. The ongoing Open Qualifiers adhere to strict start times for matches, kicking out teams that don’t show up on time.
You don’t have to complete every match for your Faction once it’s been registered, as the main Ranking is determined by gained points.Teams with the highest point totals will advance to a single-elimination style bracketto secure Slots in their Split section. The top 32 teams advance to this stage, greatly narrowing down the number of groups who make it to matches beyond the Qualifiers.
Different regions have different start times for their next tournament matches, so be sure to check frequently when your competition is scheduled so your team doesn’t get disqualified. Once your Faction is registered for the Ignite 2025 Tournament inMarvel Rivals, they can try their hardest to compete and advance as far as they can in this grueling competition.
