Capcom has revealed several new characters joining theMarvel vs. Capcom: Infiniteroster at San Diego Comic Con today. Four new characters were revealed during the event, each a returning favorite fromUltimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The four announced today, shown in video form to an SDCC audience live, are Spider-Man, Haggar, Nemesis, and Frank West. That brings the totalMarvel vs. Capcom: Infinitetoster total up to 27 playable characters.

Spider-Man makes a lot of sense for a San Diego Comic Con reveal, being one of the most popular comic book characters in the world, but the other three seem to have just come along for the ride. With 27 announced roster characters forMarvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, and several post-launch DLC characters revealed too, Capcom is likely coming closer to the end of its announcements. So why not drop a few old returning favorites in front of an audience of SDCC folks who went out of their way to see aMarvelpanel?

Funnily enough, this is the reveal that finally breaks away from theleaked rosterfrom a month ago. Up until now, every announced character forMarvel vs. Capcom: Infinitehad matched the leak, but of all characters, it’s Haggar that snaps the list’s streak. According to the leak, Haggar was not planned on being included, but either the leak was wrong or Capcom has since changed its mind. His announcement does line up withStreet Fighter 5’s Abigail, who also originates from theFinal Fightfranchise.

The safe bet is that the leaked roster list was accurate at the time of its writing, but that Capcom’s plans then changed. After all, it did predict the inclusion ofJedah Dohma fromDarkstalkers, a rare and surprising addition toMarvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.Other rumored roster inclusions that Capcom may still have planned to announce are the Hunter fromMonster Hunterand Ant-Man. A second, less likelyMarvel vs. Capcom: Infiniteleaked roster says Black Widow, Venom, Captain Commando, and Doctor Octopus could also be in store. Best not trust that list too much, though.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infiniteis planned for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC starting September 19.
