Naturally, today’s reveal ofMass Effect: Andromeda’scinematic trailersurely excited plenty of the sci-fi franchise’s myriad fans, but it definitely wasn’t the only rousing piece of information regarding the forthcoming game to come out of BioWare’s N7 Day celebration. On top of the trailer,new story detailshave emerged, and the developer’s creative director for the release, Mac Walters, established that the sequel is going to bring back one of the series' more popular features withloyalty missions making a return.
As seen in the tweet below fromMass Effect: Andromedaproducer Fabrice Condominas, fans can register for the game’s multiplayer beta now to help BioWare refine the title as much as possible before its release. However, it’s important to note that the trial is exclusively available to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players — PC andNintendo Switch owners are getting left out, it seems — and requires fans to fill out a rather lengthy survey.

At this point in time, BioWare hasn’t revealed an exact date as to whenMass Effect: Andromeda’s multiplayer beta will go live. Nevertheless, one should expect that it will be relatively soon considering the fact that the studio is already allowing fans to register themselves as potential participants in the trial.
Little is known about the actual details forMass Effect: Andromeda’s overallgameplay mechanics, so it’s anyone’s guess as to what kind of action the multiplayer beta will contain. Of course, with BioWare attempting to distanceAndromedafromMass Effect 3and its endingas a new entry in the franchise, it’s likely that the forthcoming title’s cooperative multiplayer is much different than its precursor.
