After Months Of Teasing, Snack Wraps Are Officially Back

Spicy Snack Wrap And Ranch Snack Wrap Are Available For A Limited Time Only

McDonald’s Snack Wrap was first introduced in 2006, featuring a chicken strip, lettuce, cheese, and sauce wrapped in a tortilla. There were four options available at the time, where customers could choose either grilled or crispy chicken, with the choice of sauce being either ranch or honey mustard.

The Snack Wrap stayed on the menu for a decade. However, despite being a popular item, it was discontinued in 2016, a decision that was met with long-lasting petitions and online campaigns calling for a reversal. McDonald’s corporate chef,Mike Haracz, shed some light on the decision on TikTok.

He explained thatit was due to “operational complexity.“While the wraps were widely loved by fans, they were “harder to make” compared to other items on the menu. Since discontinuing the item wouldn’t significantly affect the profit, the company held off on bringing it back over the years.

Nearly a decade later, the highly anticipated item wasofficially added back to the menu on July 10 for a limited time only, and not without an upgrade. Now with a McCrispy chicken strip, the wrap comes in two options: Spicy Snack Wrap and Ranch Snack Wrap, both topped with shredded cheese and shredded lettuce and wrapped in a soft tortilla (perMcDonald’s).

The spicy option willfeature the company’s signatureSpicy Pepper sauce, while the non-spicy option will include a creamy Ranch sauce. Prices and offers may vary in different locations, but according toUSA Today, the wraps cost $2.99 à la carte and can be made into a two-wrap combo meal.
