However, as fans are transitioning from one generation to the next, it’s not always easy to understand which video game is optimized for the newest console.

To help with any possible confusion, Xbox has revealed a badge for every game that isXbox Series Xoptimized. The logo will seemingly be slapped onto any promotional information about upcoming games, and perhaps on boxarts to help with purchases.

Just a bit before the event went live, the official Xbox Twitter page tweeted out an image of the new badge. The green diamond-shaped logo simply says “Optimized for Series X” and has the classic Xbox insignia on it. During theXbox Series X Inside Xbox live stream, which has received a lot of negative feedback, this badge was seen many times.

The event showed off games such asYakuza,The Ascent, The Medium, andMadden NFL 21, which also is a part of Xbox’s Smart Delivery program. The Smart Delivery logo was also shown often, this program allows players to purchase an Xbox One game and have it upgraded to Xbox Series X for free.

Many of the games revealed at the event looked quite gorgeous, proving the optimization for Xbox Series X.Call of Seawas announced for Xbox Series Xand showed off quite impressive visuals during the gameplay. However, many of the games that were shown did not provide gameplay, and instead leaned towards CGI trailers and cinematics, this may be part of the backlash from fans today.

Even the gameplay that was shown off seemed lackluster at times. TheAssassin’s Creed Valhallagameplay was disappointingin comparison to the first time players sawOriginsandOdyssey. If Microsoft wants the new badge for optimization for Xbox Series X to be impactful, the gameplay and trailer reveals themselves probably need to have more umpf to them. The hope would be that the games on the new console would bring more excitement to the people who will want to jump ship from Xbox One to Xbox Series X or even from the PS4 to the Series X.
