Following the wickedly awesome gameplay reveal ofMortal Kombat 11, eagle-eyed fans noticed everything from the potential roster size to the possible inclusion of Kano, an original character debuting in the very first 1992 version ofMortal Kombatand member of the Black Dragon clan. This was even followed up with a leak suggestingReptile was once again returning to the roster, but despite all of this, it seems there is at least one hint no one has picked up on yet.

In a recent tweet,Daanish Syed, a Senior UI Artist at NetherRealm Studios, expressed his amazement at how no one has found this tease yet, claiming people “will lose their minds when [they] reveal it.” Syed went on to confirm that he was referring toMortal Kombat 11’s demo played during the reveal event, so clue hunters will want to look at live gameplay footage instead of trailers.

Later on, Syed went on to say in a tongue-in-cheek manner that if he said any more, he could potentially lose his job. All of this alone is enough to drive the hype behind the tease, as it is clear that there have been a lot of teases forMortal Kombat 11.

Of course, not even knowing a few details about what to look for makes this incredibly more difficult. Syed stops short of mentioning if it’sa character (returning or guest) tease, an interesting mechanical tease, or more story details. With the limited information and availability, many may just have to wait and lose their mind when this hiddenMortal Kombat 11tease is revealed.

Taking all of this into consideration, the marketing and mystery behindMortal Kombat 11are definitely on point about giving fans just a taste of what they want. This even applies to the first glimpse at theCustom Gear System, which left many fans clamoring for more. And with a few months until launch, the hits are likely to keep coming.

Mortal Kombat 11launches on April 23 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
