My Time at Sandrock, the sequel to the farming simulatorMy Time at Portia, comes out this spring for Early Access. It’s finally available to wishlist on Steam and for each milestone it reaches, developer Pathea Games will add additional features to the game.
My Time at Portiareleased in 2019 to very positive reception. It’s heavily inspired by popular farming simulators such astheHarvest Moonseriesand especiallyStardew Valley. It mimics many of the elements seen in these games such as fishing, mining, relationships, and some monsters, except the premise is a post-apocalyptic setting.

It was announced back in October thatits sequel,My Time at Sandrockwill focus less on the familiar farming and more on the building aspects while still keeping with the same post-apocalyptic setting.Sandrockwill be releasing for Early Access on March 31, and Pathea plans to release the full game next year. For certain wishlist milestones met on Steam, new features will be added toMy Time at Sandrock.
My Time at Sandrockhas already reached 100,000 wishlists on Steam, which means Pathea will add facial make-up as a part of the character customization tools. This will be different fromMy Time at Portiaby implementing “more options and advanced features,” such as eye shadow and lipstick.
For 150,000 wishlists, the developers will add a furniture customization feature, where players will be able to further mix and match furniture styles. A multiplayer mode will be added after reaching 200,000 wishlists on Steam, which could besimilar toStardew Valley’s multiplayermode. Finally, at 250,000 wishlists, kids raised by the player will be able to grow up to at least school age. Raising kids is often seen in late-game content for farming simulators, includingHarvest MoonandStory of Seasons.
My Time at Sandrockis slated to release in March 2022 for PC, with PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X versions to follow in Summer 2022.
