Electronic Arts and BioWare have announced that one of thehandful of big namesvoicing aMass Effect: Andromedacharacter will be British actressNatalie Dormer. Though not everyone may recognize the name, they most likely will remember her lopsided grin from shows likeElementaryandGame of Thrones, where she played Margaery Tyrell.
InMass Effect: Andromeda, she will be adding to her range as Dr. Lexi T’Perro, the Asari medical officer of theTempest, the ship that carries the protagonist as they explore the new star systems in the game. Unlike the good Dr. Chakwas from the earlierMass Effecttrilogy, Dr. T’Perro plays a more pivotal role inMass Effect: Andromeda, as she is the very first person players interact with upon arrival in the new galaxy.

Because Dr. T’Perro is a very important character, the developers behindMass Effect: Andromedawanted to make sure the voice actor was a memorable one and the choice quickly fell on Dormer thanks to her charming accent as well as her ability to convey the complexities of Dr. T’Perro’s character. After all, it’s not every day that someone decides to up and leave their home and make their way across the universe to a strange new galaxy, and the developers felt that this background needed to come out naturally as theplayer interacts with the cast.
As for gameplay, it seems that Dr. T’Perro is going to be an integral part ofMass Effect: Andromeda. Not only is she the first person the player sees when waking up, she also is a constant source of advice and counsel and will likely have some form of rivalry withromance option Peebee. It seems that when it comes to characters and story, BioWare has once again put in the effort we expect from this venerable studio.
Mass Effect: Andromedawill be released on June 09, 2025 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
