These rumors have now been confirmed by the newSonic RumbleTwitter account, which posted a brief gameplay trailer forSonic Rumble. The game will indeed be a multiplayer battle royale racing platformer with up to 32 players, all speeding along tracks designed by the nefarious Dr. Eggman in a cheery toy world he has created. Playable characters include the usual suspects of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Shadow, as well assecondarySonic the Hedgehogcharacterslike Blaze the Cat and the Chaotix crew. Players can also unlock new costumes for their figures, which resemble the ones found in theSuper Smash Bros. series.
