But that’s not to say the rest of these recent additions to Nintendo Switch Online aren’t worth a look;Blaster Master: Enemy Belowis a critically acclaimed Metroidvania with a unique charm and high replay value, whileMystery Toweris widely touted as one of the most compelling puzzle platformers from the NES era.

Finally, whileKirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumblealready enjoyed a fairly positive reception back in 2000, some might say that this Game Boy Color platformer was still ahead of its time due to its then-unique control scheme. Namely, the game’s cartridge was equipped with an accelerometer, allowing players to control Kirby by tilting their handheld. Since both the Joy-Cons and Switch Pro Controller have a much more precise version of this tech built-in, the gameplay formula ofKirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumbleshould translate well to Nintendo’s hybrid console and possibly pave the way formore motion-controlled Game Boy re-releases on the Switch.
TheNintendo Switch Onlinelibrary has been growing on a monthly basis since its 2018 debut, so its next update is likely to arrive come mid-July. As for the Expansion Pass subscription, that service tier is still slated to receive at least a couple of new games later this month.
