Developer Hello Games deploys patch 1.13 forNo Man’s Sky, which fixes several bugs and gameplay issues as well as improving the game’s space battles.
Hello Games has announced a new patch forNo Man’s Sky, which resolves a number of issues with the game as well as adding several new features, the most important of which is an improvement to the size and scale of space battles.
As reported byGamespot, patch 1.13 resolves a number of bugs and implements some of the feedback given to Hello Games by fans ofNo Man’s Sky. The patch should auto-update via Steam and implements the following changes:
Patch 1.13 is but one of a series of updatespromised by Hello Gameswhich should bring the game up to what its player base expected it to be on release. No Man’s Skymay be one of the most hyped games in history, but once released it certainly becameone of the most reviled. Players experienced bugs and gameplay issues as well as massive disappointment when their expectations were not met. One of the many gripes listed was how space battles felt lackluster and small, an issue which this patch should hopefully address.
This series of patches seems to be an effort by Hello Games to save what’s left of its reputation: thoughreviewson the whole were somewhat positive, the outrage from players redefined web-based hatred. At one point Reddit was forced toclose down theNo Man’s Skysubreddit, since the odious comments became too much for even the hardened moderators of the front page of the Internet. The end result was that several retailer ended uprefunding consumersand publisher Sony went so far as to publiclyblame Hello Games' PRas well as the development team for the fiasco.
The current patch, as well as those coming in the future, will hopefully salvage some ofNo Man’s Skygameplay and allow it to regain face with its fans.
No Man’s Skyis available now for PC and PS4.
