The concept ofwireless chargingstations that can charge multiple devices at once is an occasionally troublesome one. Apple tried, and utterly failed, to make one with theAirPower, but there are plenty of other options out there that are able to pull this off by doing a station-like design with multiple modules. Nomad has just released a new model following this same philosophy, and it looks like a good option if you’re looking for something that can charge all your tech at once.
Nomad has just released the Base One Max 3 in 1, a wireless charging station that can charge up to three devices at once. More specifically, this charging station is able to charge an iPhone, an Apple Watch, and some AirPods simultaneously. Both the regular iPhone wireless charging pad and the AirPods pad support Qi charging, and you can technically charge any Qi-compatible smartphone and earbuds using this station — the iPhone pad is actually MagSafe, so it’s also magnetic. The Apple Watch charger, however, is just a magnetic Apple Watch charging puck and is not compatible with other smartwatches, seeing Apple’s refusal to adopt regular Qi charging for the Apple Watch. So if you’re trying to use this with non-Apple hardware, your mileage may vary.
If you happen to own a full set of Apple mobile hardware, including the iPhone, the Apple Watch and the AirPods, this will be a really good option to charge all your hardware. The station itself has a premium metal-and-glass build and it can charge phones at up to 15W, the maximum speed allowed for MagSafe charging. It ships with a USB-C to USB-C cable, although it will also need a power adapter that’s sold separately (yes, even your charger doesn’t come with a charger in the box these days).
