Overwatchfans are always finding new and creative ways to approach Blizzard’s hit game, and streamer Rudeism is well-known for that. The popular streamer has made a name for himself by taking games and playing them in unique ways – andOverwatchis certainly no exception.
Fans ofOvewatch(orHeroes of the Storm)are quite familiar with the music-based healer Lucio. Rudeism decided to try to play the popular healer using only an air cannon and a motion capture glove. The glove allows him to control movement and wallriding thanks to a joystick on the palm of the glove.
The glove’s motion controls allow him to mimic Lucio’s movements to boost healing and speed and switch modes. The air cannon allows him to aim, shoot, and use Lucio’s boop ability. Rudeism originally showed off the prototype for this build back in February, where hecontrolled Lucio using just the air cannon.

As you’re able to see, Rudeism has mastered the art of Lucio without the use of keyboard, mouse, or controller. At this stage, Rudeism can play Lucio better than most – even with such an interesting configuration. But this is not the first time Rudeism has tackled a unique challenge inOverwatch. One funny challenge Rudeism tried last year was tocontrol the sniper Widowmaker using a baguette. While the build was functional, it didn’t work nearly as well as this Lucio build. However, the Lucio build doesn’t come with a built-in snack.
Rudeism first started making waves with weird builds a couple years ago when he tackled one ofDark Souls 3’s most infamous bosses: The Abyss Watchers. But as you can imagine, he didn’t just beat them normally, he beat themusing aDance Dance Revolutiondance pad. While he racked up over 300 deaths, it is still an impressive feat that some gamers struggle with using just a controller.
It’s always great to see fans of a game getting creative while playing, and Rudeism takes the cake in that category. Who knows what the streamer has planned next forOverwatch, but the build will probably be just as crazy.
Overwatchis now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
