Voice actor Johnny Cruz, voice of Lucio inOverwatch, received a snuggly new friend from a fan during a signing at Florida Supercon.
A video has surfaced onRedditthat shows a Cruz being handed a body pillow from a fan that features Korean gamer and fellowOverwatchhero D.Va. Picking up that the gift was meant as a joke, he decided to play along, pretending to make out with the pillow briefly before disappearing behind the table with his new companion. All with a wry smile on his face, of course.
This is the sort of reaction you’d expect from one of theOverwatchvoice actors, as they all seem to be a playful bunch. This was first exhibited when Cruz himself toured Blizzard Entertainment’s campus to joke around with his fellow voice actors, and again when the cast acted out their characters’dance emotesin a video posted a couple months back.
It’s clear fans appreciate the voices behind their favoriteOverwatchcharacters, and it’s evident the actors feel the same way. No wonder Terry Crews wanted to be the voice of Doomfist. It’s a shame he didn’t get the job, as he had garnered modest fan support, but Blizzardhad its reasons.
Speaking of which, Doomfist has finally made his way into the game as a playable hero. However, he’s already being tested for a slight nerf on the PTR. His Rocket Punch ability has proven to be quite devastating, but its hitbox size is a little too forgiving. Because of this, Blizzard has recentlyreduced the ability’s hitboxsize. That way Rocket Punch will require a touch more skill to be efficient. It will take some time to see if this change makes it into the live game.
Currently,Overwatchplayers are enjoying the return of Summer Games. The event brings Lucioball back to the arcade, along with a ton of new cosmetic items. There are new emotes, sprays, and, of course, new skins. The old Summer Games skins are still available for anyone who didn’t get them the first time around, but awhole slew of new skinsare now up for grabs. These includes a bikini-clad Widowmaker and a shirtless McCree, both ready to hit the beach this summer.
Overwatchis out now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
