How Fusion Spells Work in Reload

InPersona 3 Reload,Fusion Spells have been reworked to function as the Protagonist’s “Theurgy.“This is essentially a limit break that can be used once the Theurgy Meter is full, and is unlocked shortly after Fuuka joins S.E.E.S. Each party member’s Theurgy is charged a different way, but the Protagonist’s Theurgy has one of the easiest charging methods. Whenever the Protagonist summons a Persona it will increase their Theurgy meter, fitting for someone who has a multitude of Personas to call on.

Once the Protagonist’s Theurgy meter is full, they are able to choose from any of the Fusion Spells they currently have access to. They unlock Fusion Spells by having all Personas involved in that Fusion Spell registered in the Compendium, so they don’t need to keep those Personas in their stock to access their Fusion Spells. Since Theurgy doesn’t cost SP or require items to use, players can also freely use their Fusion Spells without worrying about resources.
