In a surprising twist, Peter Parker’s son has manifested an unexpected superpower, becoming a different type ofSpider-Manthan his dad. Debuting in 2024, Richard Parker has been fighting alongside his father as a tech-based Spider-Man, rather than having biological superpowers. Now, he’s turning that to his advantage.
The Picotech suit was meant to help Peter Parker as Spider-Man, but instead it’s created a whole other hero.

Spider-Man’s Son Can Turn Invisible
He Has His Own Version of Miles Morales' Camouflage
It’s a shocking ability to manifest out of nowhere, but one that shouldn’t surprise fans. When the adult Peter Parker of the Ultimate Universe began fighting crime, he did so wearing aPicotech suit created by Tony Stark. The suit could shapeshift, giving him whatever costume he wanted, but was still ultimately vulnerable to being hacked by those who knew Stark’s systems, causing Peter to abandon it. Now, fans see this ability pushed to the limit, asthe suit uses its holographic capabilities to mask Richard from sight.
Launched in 2023,Marvel’s Ultimate Universe is an alternate realitywhere everything has gone wrong. The villainous Maker has used time travel to rewrite the entire timeline, depowering or corrupting iconic heroes. Peter Parker was his first victim, with the Maker stealing the spider thatshouldhave given Peter powers. When Tony Stark’s Ultimates began fighting back, they raided the Maker’s base and handed superpowers back to their rightful owners. One of the only people who rose to the challenge was Peter Parker - now a married man with two kids and no experience at fighting supervillains.

When Peter was kidnapped by Kraven the Hunter, his son Richard took his Picotech costume and fought on as the interim Spider-Man. With Peter now using a normal spandex costume, Richard has been able to keep the Picotech suit, which can replicate several of his father’s abilities. Now, it turns out he can also surpass them, with the Picotech suit’s technology allowing him to effectively turn invisible. This is one of the rarer Spider-Powers, otherwise only used by the mainstream Miles Morales, who possesses it on a biological level.
Richard Parker’s Spider-Man is becoming more and more unique as he manifests a power that his father Peter Parker can’t use - hopefully, he survives long enough to make the most of it, as the issue ends with Black Cat leading the noviceSpider-Maninto a deadly trap.
