PlayStationhas released a new video that focuses on some of the biggest new video games coming out on PS5 and PS4 in 2023. Manycritically-acclaimed games launched in 2022, withElden RingandGod of War Ragnarokbeing the top-most-rated titles from last year.

Sony in particular released several games in 2022, withHorizon Forbidden West,Gran Turismo 7, andThe Last of Us Part 1all launching to positive reviews. This list does not includePlayStation games released on PC, such asGod of War,Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, andSackboy: A Big Adventure. Now, Sony has uploaded a new video that highlights some of the noteworthy games coming in 2023 for PS5 and PS4.

Titled “Upcoming Games in 2023,” the over 2-minute-long video gives fans an introduction to some of the new games confirmed to release this year for PS4 and PS5. The video is a collection of brief glimpses of footage from the various games coming out in 2023, and it begins with an onslaught ofPS5 exclusive AAA titleslikeFinal Fantasy 16,Horizon Forbidden West Burning ShoresDLC, andMarvel’s Spider-Man 2.

This is followed by third-party games such asAssassin’s Creed Mirage,Resident Evil 4,Hogwarts Legacy,Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,Street Fighter 6,Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and more. Other games likeAlone in the Dark,Eternights, andThe Lords of the Fallenare also a part of the video. Fans should note that the video makes note of games that are only coming out onPS5, with no such disclaimer for titles releasing on both PlayStation consoles.

PS VR2 is coming out in February 2023, and the video features a few notable VR games likeFirewall UltraandHorizon Call of the Mountain. The rest of the footage consists of a balance between AAA games and indie titles, withTchia,Season: A Letter to the Future,Wild Hearts, andDestiny 2: Lightfallall being recognized.

This PlayStation video showcases the wide variety ofgames coming out in 2023, with the opening months already packed with new releases. It should be noted that the footage only includes announced games with a confirmed release window, as various publishers will launch other games on both consoles this year. Furthermore, such videos usually consist of games having a marketing partnership with PlayStation, so any multi-platform game having a deal with Microsoft will probably not be featured in the collection.
