Horizon Forbidden Westis one of the biggest games of the year, and it comes out in less than 10 days. Sony is having a great start to 2022 as it has already releasedGod of Waron PC andUncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collectionon PS5, with the highly-anticipatedGran Turismo 7launching early next month.
Many presumed thatHorizon Forbidden Westwould be a PS5 exclusiveupon its initial reveal. Later on, Sony clarified thatHorizon Forbidden West,Gran Turismo 7, andGod of War Ragnarokwill also release on PS4. While developer Guerrilla Games had primarily focused on showing the PS5 version, Sony has just released a new video that shows gameplay from the PS4 version ofHorizon Forbidden West.

Although it is an extremely short clip, it is great to finally get gameplay footage from the base PS4 version ofHorizon Forbidden West. Now that Sony has released footage ofHorizonrunning on considerably weaker hardware, it seems like fans will have no complaints about the graphics no matter which platform they currently have access to.
Sony had earlier confirmed that fans who purchase the PS4 version ofHorizon Forbidden Westwill be eligible for a free upgrade to the PS5 version. Players canpurchase the PS4 version ofHorizon Forbidden Westversion via a web browser, and then upgrade for free on launch day. This offer, however, does not extend to the upcomingGran Turismo 7andGod of War Ragnarok, and users will have to pay an extra $10 for the PS5 version of these games.
Horizon Forbidden Westis shaping up to be a massive upgrade over the original game from 2017. A strategy guide confirms thatHorizon Forbidden Westwill feature over 40 different machines, up from 25 inHorizon Zero Dawn. The strategy guide is over 600 pages long, and it seems likeHorizon Forbidden Westwill be packed with content when it launches later this month.
Horizon Forbidden Westreleases on February 18 for PS4 and PS5.
