It looks as ifPokemon GO’s upcomingCommunity Day featuring the Water-type Totodileisn’t going to be the only event that fans of the wildly popular mobile augmented reality title have to anticipate this month. As a matter of fact, the video game developer Niantic has now announced that the ARG will be hosting a new type of Limited Research event next weekend featuring a chance to encounter and catch a Shiny Feebas.
According to Niantic,Pokemon GO’s forthcoming Limited Research event in question is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 02, 2025 from from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM PST, making it somewhat similar to Community Day, as both events run for three hours. During this period of time, players will able to receive special Limited Research tasks by spinning the Photo Disc at PokeStops. The completion of each task will give one an encounter with Feebas, with the odds of coming across the Water-type’s Shiny variant increasing each time.
For those unaware, Feebas is generally considered to be a rare fish Pokemon in the main games, and it eventually evolves into the aquatic, serpentine creature known as Milotic when it has a high Beauty condition. InPokemon SunandMoon, however, it evolves through trade if it’s holding a Prism Scale. to evolve Feebas inPokemon GO, would-be Trainers need to choose the Water-type as a Buddy Pokemon and walk with it for 20 kilometers
Until the Feebas-focused Limited Research event arrives,Pokemon GOplayers ought to have plenty to keep them busy, as there’s still few more days left for them to take advantage of the ongoing Adventure Sync Hatchathon, with the event scheduled to end on Jul 16, 2025. This is the same date that Heatran is set to leave Raid Battles, so for those who haven’t caught it yet, here’show to beat and catch the Steel- and Fire-type.
Pokemon GOis available now on Android and iOS devices.
