During this event, the amount of stardust received by catching Pokemon is doubled, so catching Pokemon in bulk is highly recommended. Using a star piece can increase the yields even more, as this will add to the existing stardust modifier and allow players to get 4x the usual stardust.
One of the most notable things during thePokemon GOSolstice Event is that the spawn rates ofLunatone and Solrockwill be increased during the event’s duration. Normally, these Pokemon are exclusive to their own hemispheres with Lunatone being in the western hemisphere and Solrock being in the eastern hemisphere. However, they will both be available worldwide during the event.
Lunatone and Solrock aren’t the onlyregion exclusive PokemoninPokemon GO. Pokemon such as Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime, Tauros, Heracross, Corsola, and many more can only be found in certain real-life areas of the world outside of certain events.
Additionally, players will be able to find a shiny clefairy in the wild instead of hatching a shiny cleffa to obtain one. Shiny clefairies have bright green tipped ears instead of their normal brown as seen above.
There are a total of five different field research tasks for this event. They are:
These field research tasks can be gotten by spinning any pokestop during this event. However, players are advised to stay safe considering current events and the coming heats of summer. If players decide to go out for long sessions, bringing bottles of water is highly recommended.
