A new Tera Raid Battle event will soon be available forPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers, with Armarouge and Ceruledge appearing more frequently in raids but only for a limited time. This Tera Raid event will allow players to upgrade their team and fill their Pokedex with two creatures introduced with the release ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet.Tera Raid Battles are special events where players can fight and try to capture Pokemon with special abilities. Any trainer can take part in standard Tera Raid Battles, as long as they reached the first Pokemon Center located in Los Platos, a small settlement in the South of the Paldea region. During this short period, players will have more chances to battle and capture a Terastallized version of Armarouge and Ceruledge in 4 and 5-star raids. However, both monsters will not be available for all players: Armarouge is only available inPokemon Scarlet, and Ceruledge inPokemon Violet.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violetregularly feature Tera Raid Battles with time-limited creatures to capture. The latest one ran from January 27 to January 29 and put Unrivaled Greninja in the spotlight, withPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers finding a clever way tobattle this Raid Boss with four Pikachus. Greninja will be back in the Black Tera Raid Crystals challenge as a 7-star raid boss from February 10 through February 12. The tenth Tera Raid Battle event will celebrate Valentine’s Day by putting fights against the inseparable duo of mouse-like Pokemon Tandemaus.
The Tera Raid Battles are great events for trainers to capture new Pokemon with rare Tera Type combinations allowing them to perform better in battle. Terastal Pokemon is a new mechanic introduced inPokemon Scarlet and Violet, granting a Tera creature with a different type than its default one. While Tera Raid Battles are how to capture thebest Tera Pokemon, trainers can catch rares wild Tera creatures across Paldea. These Pokemon always stay in the same location, but they are way more powerful than the standard pocket monster and prove to be tough opponents to defeat.
