Humanityis a new game coming to the Extra tier ofPlayStation Plusas a day one release, and it seems to be getting great reviews from critics. Users in the higher tiers ofPS Plusget a selection of new titles this month, as the catalog of games refreshes on May 16.
Sony usually doesn’t add new games as day one releases on PS Plus Extra, with this practice reserved for only a select few. As an example,Straylaunched as a day one release in 2022, whileTchiacame out on PS Plus Extraupon its launch in March 2023. Sony is adding a day one game titledHumanityto the Extra tier in May 2023, and it is getting great reviews from critics.

The PS5 version ofHumanityhas a score of 84 on Metacritic at the time of this writing, while its Top Critic Average on OpenCritic is sitting at 85. An impressive 88% of critics recommendHumanity, which is higher than that ofTchiaandStray. It should be noted thatHumanitydoesn’t have too many reviews as of now, so it’s possible for the average score to change in the coming days. Regardless, it seems like Sony has added another solid game to thePS Plus Extra lineup on day one.
For those unaware,Humanityis a puzzle-action gamein which players control a dog with the goal of guiding a massive crowd of people across the level. Players command NPCs to jump, push, float, and more as they play through 90 story-mode stages, with user-generated content also available in the game.
Gamers should note that thetitles coming to PS Plus Premiumthis month also come with trophy support, as the trophies forBlade Dancer: Lineage of Light,Pursuit Force, andSyphon Filter: Logan’s Shadoware now live on Exophase. All of them feature a Platinum trophy as well, allowing users to further increase their collection of trophies as they play through these classic games.
