During the conversation, Weaving shared her excitement forReady or Not 2, which had recently concluded filming. She expressed a wish that the shooting could have kept going for even longer, teased thatthe movie is “exactly what the audience will want"and praised the cast, particularly Kathryn Newton and Elijah Wood. There Are Ways To Expand On The Original
While the story ofReady or Not 2: Here I Comeis unknown, the fact that Weaving is teasing that the2026 horror sequelis even bigger means thatit will probably explore the overall universe of the franchise more thoroughly. This is eminently doable, as the original movie took place almost entirely within the confines of a single mansion and on its grounds. It also explored one single family’s relationship to their supernatural patron Le Bail, who is responsible for their wealth and success but demands sacrifice.

However, due to the fact that the originalSamara Weaving horror movieended with the Le Domas family being destroyed, seemingly in its entirety,it seems highly likely that the sequel will have to introduce new followers of Le Bail. If the sequel features another game of hide-and-seek, its location will probably also be limited. However, by bringing in more characters involved in the deadly game, the movie will necessarily expand the lore around Le Bail and how far the entity’s influence spreads.
