After a troubled launch plagued by a plethora of bugs and clunky controls, recent patches forRemothered: Broken Porcelainaim to resolve major issues with animations, music, lighting, and more.
Previously,Remothered: Tormented Fathersreleased to high critical acclaim back in 2018 and even won some awards such as Best Horror Game and Best Indie Game with some publications. Even Keiichiro Toyama, the creator of theSilent Hillseries, noted his admiration for the indie horror title brought by Italian developer Stormind Games. However,Broken Porcelainlanded far fromthe success ofTormented Fathers, earmarked by numerous glitches and flaws that don’t do its story any justice.

But now, a few months afterRemothered: Broken Porcelain’s full release, indie publishing label Modus Games announces patches for Steam, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions of the game that putBroken Porcelainin its most polished state so far.
Recent patchesfrom Stormind Gamesinclude fixing a bug that causes players to lose control of Jennifer, typos in subtitles as well as subtitles disappearing, fixing an instance where Jennifer can become permanently stuck in a crouch, and many animation enhancements.
Now thatBroken Porcelainhas resolved numerous glitches since its release back in October, the main reason the game received such low reviews across all platforms, but unfortunately, many gamers may have moved on from the indie horror title after its unsuccessful launch. Still, recent reviews on Steam are now “Mostly Positive,” however, many veterans ofTormented Fathersfeel thatBroken Porcelainsimply isn’t a satisfactory sequel.
