Mike & Liv Are Investigating The Mantid’s Murders

They’ve Already Found Out About The Headless Hunter

In season 4, episode 2,Mike and Liv are investigating the hunter found dead without his head, unknowingly putting them on the trail of the Mantid. While the pair have had investigations they didn’t realize were tied to Harry’s alien conflicts before, the bug-like extraterrestrial posing as the protagonist makes them closer than ever before. The case is tied directly to the consequences of Harry being trapped on the Moon, with the antagonistic alien taking over the life he’d been living on Earth.

The end ofResident Alienseason 4, episode 2tossed another twist into the mix, with the Mantid killing someone at Judy’s motel. The headless body is something she’ll inevitably have to call Mike and Liv about, causing them to treat both deaths as the work of a serial killer. Depending on how well they’re able to deduce the cause, their ever-widening investigation could lead them to an extraterrestrial angle. This is more possible than ever because of what the pair went through in the latest episode, making it more likely they’ll discover Harry’s true identity.

However,if they discover the Mantid is disguised as Harry, the real Harry might also be in trouble, since the police officers don’t know about his true alien form.
