The Hawthornes Getting Their Baby Back Resolves A Huge Grey Alien Storyline
Their Baby Was Taken By The Greys In Season 2
At theend ofResident Alienseason 4, episode 6,Asta left the Hawthorne’s baby at their door, finally reuniting them with their child who was stolen by the Greys. This resolves a major storyline that’s been ongoing since season 2, when Kate first learned she was pregnant. It ties into Harry ensuring the Greys aren’t a threat anymore.
The development comes after season 4 has focused on the couple not being able to know the location of the baby for their safety. Named Daisy by D’Arcy, the child was in her care before she gave her to Kayla early into the season. With Harry speaking to the Galactic Housing Council, though, the reunion was able to happen.

Because of how massive a resolution this is, it could signal the show is finally coming to a close. The series has been dealing with the Hawthorne baby and Greys since the back half of season 2, with this resolution putting the major storyline to rest. There’s also not much left forResident Aliennow that the baby is safe.
Resident Alien Only Has 1 Major Storyline Left To Resolve
Harry’s Last Job Could Be The End For The Entire Show
Now that the Hawthorne baby is safe, the only major storyline left isfor Harry to use his alien powers to kill the Mantid. This will involve negotiating with his father for his power, since he’s angry at his son for not destroying Earth when he was supposed to. Mike and Liv’s investigation may tie into this final arc too.
Given this is the only major storyline left forResident Alien, the show could end with the Mantid getting killed for real andHarry getting his powers back. It would also prevent him from being targeted by the Greys, allowing Patience to remain at peace from alien threats for good.
