The next best thing to owning a virtual-reality headset is living vicariously through those who do. Thankfully, the Internet has been kind enough to satisfy our lust for entertainment with videos of people playingMirror’s Edgeand evena guillotine simusing the Oculus Rift. This one, from YouTube useribarakiprefecture, is a new favorite of mine.
He talked a co-worker into experiencing a roller coaster simulation while wearing the Rift and, well, it’s a good thing the poor guy didn’t knock that monitor over. Despite the fact that no electronics were harmed in the making of this video, it’s still a fun watch. In fact, he even tries it again — “tries” being the operative word — on one leg in a separate video.
