Update 4/13: At Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, it was confirmed thatCameron Monaghan is playing the main character in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Original story follows.
Recently, a supposed developer ofStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderposted information about the game on ResetEra. Those posts were then deleted, but not before they were saved by some people, including Reddit user SchrodingersWitcher, who shared the information on the forum. This potential leak teased thatStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderwould haveSekiro-like combat, but it also potentially revealed who will be portraying the main protagonist.
The original leaker posted images of actor Cameron Monaghan portraying Jerome fromGotham, hinting that he would be playing the main character inStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The leak said thatStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderwould be using a pre-made male protagonist instead of giving players the option to create their own character, so it would make sense for Respawn to get some star power to represent the new character.
What makes this part of the leak a little more information is some legwork done by Reddit user AnakinisSkywalker, who looked through Monaghan’s Instagram for clues. AnakinisSkywalker found an Instagram post of Monaghan with motion capture dots on his face for a “new project.” Now, this could be anything, but it certainly does make it easier to believe that Monaghan may be working on a video game, and that video game could very well beStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Of course, we must caution fans that this leak could be way off-base and be based on fabricated information. However, given the proximity to theStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderreveal stream, it’s a little bit easier to believe. That’s because fans only have to wait until Saturday, April 13 for the leak to either be validated or proven fake, so it seems like it would be wasted effort to pull a hoax.
Even so, fans should take this information with a grain of salt and keep their expectations in check until Respawn itself reveals Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderon Saturday.
