Summary
Rare has released theSea of ThievesSeason 11 update which is full of adjustments and new content. Since beginning itsSea of Thievesseasonal model, Rare has come up with creative ways to evolve the open-world pirate game, and Season 11 is a packed update.
WhenSea of Thieveswas released, it would get regular updates that varied in size. In 2021, Rare changed its approach to how it patched the game, opting for big seasonal updates. While these updates have also had assorted sizes, they each revolve around a key feature and a lineup of cosmetics in the in-game shop and Plunder Pass. Like other Battle Pass systems, theSea of ThievesPlunder Passhas rewarded progress with unique customizations since Season 1. The Season 11 changes and Plunder Pass have now been released, offering players many things to do on their voyages.

Sea of ThievesSeason 11has begun on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Given that the update ranges in size from 5.62 to 8.09 GB, it may take players a few minutes to download before delving into the changes that it introduces. While it may not seem much bigger than others based on its size, the Season 11 update is one of the heftiest additions to the game. Rare recently revealed some details about Season 11 in a video that highlighted a new quest table in the Captain’s quarters, a type of fast travel calledSea of Thieveson Demand, and a progression track known as Distinctions.
WhileSea of ThievesSeason 10 was hit by a delay, it offered new content like Guilds and combat changes. Safer Seas was also introduced as a new way for players to explore the open world, making a PvE server type for players who didn’t want to fight each other. These fundamental Season 10 adjustments remain part of Season 11, while the latest update has an overhauled menu that makes it easier for players to know what their next step should be. A world event for trading companies called Raid Voyages will be central for players who are leveling their reputation, and they offer unique treasures new to Season 11.
As there are rumors thatSea of Thievesmay be coming to PlayStation, Season 11 could be a necessary overhaul to reach a brand-new audience. Given that Rare continues to update the game, it’s likely that the game will continue to grow with Season 12 and beyond.
