PerThe Los Angeles Times,Paramount has reportedly agreed to purchase the global streaming rights ofSouth Parkfor $1.5 billionin a 5-year deal. The global streaming rights are valued at $300 million per year. This will allow the show to stream on Paramount+ for the first time in the United States.
Co-creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s production company, Park County, has agreed to produce10 new episodes a yearas part of the deal. This comes after months of negotiations, as HBO Max’s streaming agreement overSouth Parkended in June.

The Show Has A 5-Year Deal
In 2019,South Parkwas licensed on HBO Max, as Paramount+ was still in development. Paramount+ had previously offered HBO Max a new deal that would see the animated show on both services, but Paramount’s merging with Skydance created problems in negotiations.
