The Aurora is the spacecraft that your character arrived on. It has crashed into the ocean and broken down. This triggered the emergency lockdown protocols, so now you’ll have to open the doors using codes.

Subnautica: What You Can Find on the Aurora?
You may be wondering what all the codes are useful for. Well, behind the locked doors aboard the Aurora,many items’ll help you in your adventures, as well as in some tasks you’ll have to complete in order to progress the story.
These include upgrades for a lot of your equipment, batteries, and some cosmetic items. Some of the upgrades may even let you into areas that were unavailable earlier due to not having the right equipment. Here’s what you can find in each of the locked rooms:

As for story tasks, you will have to repair the Drive Core in order to enter the Aurorawithout a radiation suit. To repair the Drive Core, you’ll need a radiation suit and a repair tool. You may also need fire extinguishers to explore the Aurora, as there are many fires as a result of the Drive Core exploding.
