In 2013, Telltale Games debuted thecritically acclaimedThe Wolf Among Us, a series based on the cult comic book seriesFables. Unlike many of the studio’s games, this particular adaptation never received a second season, despite the fact that there’s ample source material — but now it seems that something could be in the works.

Over the weekend, the official Telltale Games account posted a tweet teasing news on a future project forSan Diego Comic Con, which gets underway later this week. This was retweeted by Adam Harrington, the actor who portrayed protragonist Bigby inThe Wolf Among Us.

Taken at face value, this would suggest that a second season ofThe Wolf Among Usmight be in the works. Harrington only really tweets his own Instagram photos, music videos, and things that are directly related to his voice acting output, so it seems that he has a direct connection to the Telltale project.

However, whileThe Wolf Among Usis his most notable project with the studio, he’s appeared in several of their games before and since. He’s played several characters inThe Walking Dead, he portrayed TorqueDawg in an episode ofMinecraft: Story Mode, and he was Groot inGuardians of the Galaxy.

That being said, since the event in question is SDCC, it would be appropriate for Telltale to announce a new season based on a comic book property.Guardians of the Galaxyis still ongoing and a fourth season ofThe Walking Deadhasalready been teased, soThe Wolf Among Usseems like the most likely candidate for the studio’s next project — although a return to Gotham City is also possible.

This is all conjecture until Telltale makes its announcement, but thankfully we don’t have too long to wait. SDCC 2017 runs from July 20 to July 23.

The Wolf Among Usis available now for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and iOS.
