Update: Sony has delistedDrive Clubearlier than it previously announced. Original story follows.
DriveClubmay be most famous for being one of themost broken video games at launch. It eventually recovered to some degree, but that work will soon go to waste.DriveCluband its selection of DLC is going to be taken off the PlayStation Store at the end of the day.

As mentioned previously,DriveClubwas initially broken at its launch which occurred a year after itsintended release as a PS4 launch title. The game has become by no means a flawless one, but it has improved significantly since with integral updates and a bevy of DLC.

Regardless,DriveCluband its DLC are being taken off the PS Store. The reason for this is unclear, as are many scenarios where similar things occur. However,DriveClub’s servers will be shutting down in March of 2020. This means thatDriveClub’s multiplayer lifespan is coming to a close for those who aren’t fans of offline play.
DriveClubhas been a very representative game of this console generation. Many titles, includingFallout 76,Halo: The Master Chief Collection,Assassin’s Creed Unity, and more have started as incomplete experiences. Although, they have improved over time with a series of updates and DLC add-ons. In the case ofDriveClub, such DLC add-ons included theLamborghini and new campaign tour.
After the botched release and improvements made thereafter toDriveClub, Sony announced in 2016 thatDriveClubdeveloper Evolution Studios would be shutting down. However, Codemasters revealed shortly after that they would be bringing in the staff from Evolution Studios.
Now, Evolution’s much-anticipated PS4 exclusive is soon being taken off the PS Store. There are other methods of purchasing the game, including through other retail outlets like Amazon and GameStop which can provide physical copies of the game. Yet, those who may have wanted to purchase it digitally will no longer be able to do so on August 31 at 11:59 PM EST.
