Twitch has announced April’s free games for Prime members. From today until April 30th, Twitch Prime members can download five free games to keep forever, in addition to enjoying in-game loot for other games such asFortniteandCall of Duty: World War 2,amongst other things. These free games for Prime members will disappear after April 30th, so be sure to grab them before the end of the month!
The Twitch Prime free games April lineup includes some fan favorites inTales from the BorderlandsandDubWars; critically acclaimed Indie Amplifier winnersSteamWorld Dig 2andKingsway; and theGrand TheftAuto-inspired cyberpunk gameTokyo 42.
First up,Tales from the Borderlandsis an episodic adventure that takes place after the events ofBorderlands 2. Players can enjoy taking control of Rhys and Fiona and experience the complicated interactive story from both characters' points of view. Players are also given the liberty to choose how the story unfolds and solve the mystery of the supposedly dead Handsome Jack.
DubWarsis a game for Dubstep and Electronic music lovers. The game combines the mechanics of a top-down shooter with the power of music, where the player’s weapons are synced to the music in the game where both times of intense weapon load outs and calm moments where the player’s survival skills are tested occur, nevertheless creating a crazy and fun gaming experience.
Theindie gameSteamWorld Dig 2takes place in a post-apocalyptic steampunk world where Earth has become a desert wasteland. WhileKingswaytakes place in a fantasy world presented through the interface of a 1990s operating system. These indie games were given high ratings on all platforms and won 2nd and 3rd place in the Indie Amplifier Awards.
Finally,Tokyo 42is a stylish, minimalist GTA-inspired game where the player is an assassin that has to uncover a dark conspiracy in the seedy underbelly of Tokyo city.
