Ever since itsreveal at PlayStation Experience 2016,Uncharted: The Lost Legacyfans have been patiently waiting for Naughty Dog to release the standalone title in the action-adventure franchise and tag along with Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross on their quest to find the mystical Tusk of Ganesha. Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait much longer to play it, as the developer has announced today that the game has gone gold.

As seen below in the tweet from the official Naughty Dog Twitter account, fans can get a glimpse of a developer copy ofUncharted: The Lost Legacysliding gracefully into a PlayStation 4 console, connoting the title’s status in production finally being completed. Naturally, with the game having gone gold, there’s still some time before the general public can get their hands on it, as the release is now being duplicated and manufactured en masse in order to be placed on store shelves around the world.

The last look we got atUncharted: The Lost Legacycame shortly after E3 2017, as Naughty Dog created anextended gameplay trailerthat added up to roughly 10 minutes of footage expounding from the clip shown during Sony’s press conference at the event. Of course, while all off the assets shown thus far focus on the co-protagonists Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross – both of whom have appeared in previousUnchartedgames –fans shouldn’t expect a Nathan Drake cameoonce they get the chance to play the title.

At one point in time, Naughty Dog stated thatUncharted 4: A Thief’s Endwould be the finale to the series, and then the developer said the same in regards toUncharted: The Lost Legacy. However, if recent statements from the forthcoming game’s creative director and writer Shaun Escayg are indicative of the studio’s plans for the future,Uncharted: The Lost Legacymay not be the end of the franchise, as the company could come back for more down the line. So, hopefully theThe Lost Legacywill give Naughty Dog further incentive to keep the series alive.

Uncharted: The Lost Legacyis set to release on June 07, 2025 for PlayStation 4.
