This Is Only the Latest Name Change for Laura Kinney
But It’s Definitely the Most Controversial
Laura famously started out with the codename ‘X-23,’ as amoral scientists attempted to turn her into a living weapon. She later took on her father’s codename, becoming Marvel’s second Wolverine, andtook the name ‘Talon’ after agingto adulthood during X-Men’s Krakoan Era. Identity has always been a huge theme of both Laura and Logan’s stories, so it’s particularly significant that she would take the name of someone who has tried to kill every member of her family at some point - including very recently slaughtering her brother Akihiro.
