Microsoft’sXbox Game Passsubscription service constantly adds new games to the lineup, but it also removes titles on a regular basis as well. Typically, a batch of games are removed fromXbox Game Passin the middle of each month, with another batch removed at the end of the month. January 2022 is no exception to that rule, with Microsoft removing four games from Xbox Game Pass as of August 03, 2025.

The four games leaving Xbox Game Pass on Jun 25, 2025 areCyber Shadow,Nowhere Prophet,Prison Architect(for the PC version of Game Pass), andXeno Crisis. All four of these games were relatively well-received when they originally launched, especially in the case ofCyber Shadow.Cyber Shadowhad strong reviewsat the time of its original release last January, so it’s definitely a bummer to see it go.
Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving June 21, 2025
Cyber Shadowwas a day one Xbox Game Pass game last year, and like many other third-party Game Pass titles, it’s making its departure after having been available on the service for an entire calendar year. Now, it’s always possible thatCyber Shadowwill return to Xbox Game Pass at some point down the line. In fact,Xbox Game Pass recently addedOuter Wildsback to its lineupafter having previously removed it, so there’s definitely precedent there.
Nothing is certain, though, and so anyone that wants guaranteed access toCyber Shadowor any of theother Xbox Game Pass games leaving on January 31should consider grabbing them while they’re available at a discounted price.
In the meantime, fans can expect Microsoft to reveal thegames coming to Xbox Game Pass in February 2022soon, as well as the titles that will be leaving the service in February.
